The Importance Of Consistency While Chasing After Your Dreams

The fight between me and my dream is about consistency, willingness to show up every single day, no matter how busy I'm doing my responsibilities. The day I don't write or don't read, I feel a big disturbing wave of uneasiness and regret inside me.

For a writer, her/his thoughts are the unique empowering elements of how they see each emotions. The raw idea of a particular thought gives shape to some bigger ideas, solutions, and theories. And I'm afraid that I let go such important thoughts without contemplating the possibilities of their occurrence in my journey.
I can never give up my dream. It's embedded in my DNA. And so is in yours'. Isn't it?

"Consistency is not perfection," but the determination to not give up, and the promise to oneself to show up day-in and day-out even in small ways, taking small efforts towards our success.

I make sure I create the time because I enjoy working on my writing. Every time I lose focus doing my things, I recommit to my potential, and reconnect my focus to my inner self- to understand how can we (me and my commitment) sit together and do our work!

Teaching my mind to pay attention to questions like; what matters, why it matters, and how to make things work out for my "projects" helps me to sit down and write/create- no matter how busy I'm.

Consistency is the key to success, but don't believe in perfection. Just soak up the moment and make small tiny progress each day. I believe consistently working on your dream requires few changes in your habits. These are:
1. Seeing yourself enjoying the process.

2. When you ditch the perfection and make tiny incremental changes.

3. I read this somewhere and loved it: "Detach your progress from everyone else."

The permanent cure for envy is progress. It becomes easier to let go of all kind of disappointing comparisons when we know that we're making progress.

4. Stop focusing on, 'what if-not.'

Stop your limiting beliefs about what your future holds for you. Strengthen your self-beliefs and clear the doubts.

These are some of the wonderful quotes, that I always keep before me to re-read and react (especially when I'm feeling demotivated and not-so-inspired to continue). Hope you find them inspiring too!

"Ego says, 'once everything falls into place, I will feel peace.' Spirit says,' find your peace, and then everything will fall into place.'" ~ Marianne Williamson.

Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it." ~ Earl Nightingale

"Don't be pushed by your problems; be led by your dreams." ~Unknown

"When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find ways to do it." ~ Dr. David Schwartz

"He is able who thinks he is able." ~Buddha

" If you lose today, win tomorrow. In this never-ending spirit of challenge is the heart of a victor." ~Daisaku Ikeda

"Don't let today's disappointments cast a shadow on tomorrow's dreams. "~ Unknown

When we accept that we are on our own journey and we're not required to follow any rule book to compete or complete our dream- we will be liberated. Work Hard. Work Consistently. And Wait for the Big Reveal.
