“The bright beautiful weather outside [these days] is inviting me to feel the warm sunshine, and to enjoy some fresh cool breeze, and to welcome spring into our lives just like every year!”
But this year, things have gone quite different for all of us.
Being locked down to mitigate the infection of coronavirus, have made our days and nights very different than usual! Isn’t it? “I thought to myself: While being stuck inside, can we still enjoy the flavors of spring? Can we still bring spring indoors? Yes! And this is how!”
Spring indicates the beginning of a ‘new life. Therefore, it is time to feel that new elevated level of energy within us, and around us!
With the arrival of spring, everything seems to wake up from long dark, gloomy winter sleep! With some extra hours and plenty of sunshine adding to our days, it quite hard to stay indoor all-day-long! But, it is also important to do whatever we can to stop this virus infection from spreading. Let’s make sure we help in flattening the curve.
So, I came up with these simple ideas to enjoy this “new” weather with my family; even while self isolating ourselves from the outside world!

Brighten every room of your home, with spring décors like; green houseplants, fresh flowers, and faux flowers, that are springtastic. Also try to add some pop of colors statements to your sweet home too!
2. Bring Your Outdoor Sports Indoor.
As soon as the weather is warm and there’s lot of sunshine, we enjoy playing outdoor sports as a family. Just because we can’t go out now, there is no way we will give up on sports. So we decided to bring outdoor sport activities into our house. This is how!
We play most of the outdoor sports inside the house these days. We also try playing indoor sports and board games- as family! Use your quarantine moments to play a lot, and to spend some quality time with your family.
You’ll cherish these memories forever! Fight those fears by staying in the moment and living it in the best way you can.
Spring is the perfect time to put your decor skills into practice.
Stash away everything that reminds you of dreary winter. Make room for more natural bright light, and air to circulate in your house. “I love the color white to work on the decors, or curtains, and even for bedding. It makes me calm and content!”
Tweak your side-table and center-table decorations by adding fresh or bright color flowers. Make arrangements for allowing more natural light to enter your rooms. Sit with a book or music near the window that brings in more sunlight, and bask in the moment! See, if we try we can bring the spring indoors amid this quarantine life!
Incorporate outdoor elements like; tree stems, fresh flowers from your garden, and wreaths made with natural bird nest or twigs or dry flowers. If nothing else comes to your mind, try clicking pictures of outdoor ‘spring moments’ and use them indoor for decorations.
Spruce up your patio or front door porch with bright throw pillows. Throw the pillows on your outdoor bench or on your outdoor swing to bring out the bright colors! Try adding planters to your windows. Place them on the front porch, or patio, or around the garage, and enjoy the spirit of spring.
Spring is by far my most favorite time of the year. I even get to refresh my home, by transforming it into a new place, where life breathes in new hopes. Spring also brings me some extra energy, and plenty of sunshine, and lots of positivity!
Let your mind and body echo springtime celebrations indoors!
No matter where we are, and what we have, we can always try to live in the moment. Work through those blocks of fear and uncertainty with movement and mindfulness. You can monitor your ingrained habits. Try to break the stagnancy, and you can work towards a better future for yourself and also for others.
